New English Language Requirements for Immigration Consultant Certificate

Starting in September 2010 brand new registrants in the Immigration Consultant Certificate (ICC) is going to be needed to take Humbers English Placement Test (EPT), arranged with the Business School. The results of the EPT will determine whether applicants will likely be put into an ESL/COMM 300, ESL/COMM 200 or perhaps an ESL150/COMM 100 level course. Students are required to pass ESL/COMM 300 to finish the Immigration Consultant Certificate Program.

How the Language Requirement Works

Students must make sure the results of the EPT are offered to the Continuing Education Department in the Business School. If your test results place a student in an ESL150/COMM 100 level, a student will not be granted admission on the Immigration Consultant Certificate. A student MUST first pass the ESL 150/COMM 100 course to get granted admission towards the program. Students put in ESL/COMM 200 will have to complete ESL/COMM 200 and ESL/COMM 300. Students put in ESL/COMM 300 will need to complete ESL/COMM 300. Please be advised that ESL/COMM 300 is often a prerequisite for a lot of courses inside the program.

Student can have only one chance to write the location test, and you must write the test one from the scheduled days above prior to deciding to registering into courses to the semester.
